Our Concert!

Thank you all for an amazing night! Here is the link to our Tuesday night concert:
I would like to thank everyone for an amazing teaching experience, of 37 years! 34 at Shelburne! The 20 4th and 5th graders, and 3 7th graders made this concert so special! They all came in, outside of  music class, and volunteered their time to make this concert a success. How could anyone ask for more? Oh, how special SCS is, and always will be to me!

Concert Success!

Thank you to all parent volunteers, as well as the 20 student volunteers, and all of my amazing students, for making my last SCS concert such a success. The love and support you demonstrated to both the students, and to me, is so touching. My 34 years at SCS have been amazing, and my 37 years of teaching so memorable.

I am busy editing the concert video from last night, and have now been asked to share it with channel 16, RETN! So, I will take an extra day or two, and do some further editing, before posting our concert here, for you.

Thank you for your patience!

Spring Concert for Mrs. Burritt's students

Please join us on April 11th, at 6:30pm in the large gym, as our 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders share songs of peace, joy, and friendship.
Classes participating are:
Sally Stevens, Nancy Nakhleh, and Christine Hertz
Haley Blair and Leah Castrovillari
Joey Adams, and Stephanie Kozikowski

Here is the letter sent home to all families of participating students:

Dear Parents of 1st-3rd grade students in the following classes:
Sally Stevens, Christine Hertz, Nancy Nakhleh, Haley Blair, Leah Castrovillari, Joey Adams and Stephanie Kozikowski

Please join us on Tuesday, April 11th, at 6:30PM in the large gym for our concert, “Together in Song.”
Please have your son/daughter arrive in the cafeteria at 6:10PM, (No earlier) and have your child dressed appropriately. (No shorts, flip-flops or high-heeled shoes please)

I will be posting the lyrics and sound files of our songs on the SCS music webpage this week, as some students have expressed an interest in practicing outside of music class. (

I will need 2 parents from each class, to assist with lining up the children on the 11th. The concert begins promptly at 6:30PM, and I will need you to arrive in the cafeteria at 6:00, to line up students, and assist them to the proper placement on the risers. Also, if you are willing to help get students back to the cafeteria after the program, it would be appreciated.  Students will be lined up by team, and by height. I will have directions printed for you when you arrive, as well photos of each class’ placement on the risers.

As an incentive, I will reserve 2 seats for you, in the appropriate viewing area of your son/daughter. (I can only reserve seats for the 1st two responses from each class) Please e-mail, call, or send in the form below. I will call/e-mail you to confirm your volunteering. If you do not hear from me, please accept my apologies, for all positions are filled.

Thank you for your help.
