How to read guitar tablature:
  • If you can ignore all of the advertising, this site explains, step-by-step, how to read tablature: http://www.guitarnick.com/how-to-read-the-tablature.html
Also, by clicking on "Beginners" at the top, then, "Very easy guitar songs for beginners and kids," you find a wealth of songs, written both in notation and tablature. A great song to start with is, "Au Clair de la Lune."
